10. Topical Products Safety Policy

Covered Products
This Policy applies as relevant to lubricants, massage oils, creams, lotions, arousal/sensation products, topical wellness products, toy cleaners, fragrances/pheromone-style fragrances, candles, bath/body products, and other topical or externally applied products sold by Pleasure Sanctuary.
Follow the Label
Always follow the product's ingredients, directions, warnings, intended application area, quantity/frequency guidance, storage instructions, expiration or period-after-opening information, and manufacturer restrictions.
External vs. Intimate Use
A product described for external use should not be inserted or applied internally unless its label/manufacturer specifically identifies that use as appropriate. Do not apply products to eyes or other areas not identified for use.
Allergies and Sensitivities
Review ingredients before use, especially if you have known allergies or sensitive skin. Where appropriate for the product, a small-area patch test may help identify sensitivity before broader use, but it does not guarantee that a reaction will not occur.
Stop Use for Adverse Reactions
Discontinue use if you experience significant burning, swelling, rash, allergic-type reaction, persistent irritation, pain, or another concerning effect. Rinse/remove the product as appropriate to its instructions and seek medical assistance when warranted.
Lubricants and Barrier Compatibility
Oil-based products may weaken or be incompatible with certain latex barriers. Customers should check the lubricant and condom/barrier manufacturer's compatibility instructions. Do not assume every lubricant is compatible with every condom, barrier, or toy material.
Silicone Lubricants and Silicone Products
Some manufacturers advise against using certain silicone lubricants with certain silicone products. Follow the lubricant and product manufacturer's compatibility guidance; when uncertain, use a manufacturer-approved alternative.
Sensation and Arousal Products
Warming, cooling, tingling, sensitizing, desensitizing, or other sensation products can affect individuals differently. Use only as directed, start conservatively where instructions permit, avoid damaged/irritated tissue unless the product specifically permits it, and stop use if the effect becomes painful or concerning.
Toy Cleaners
Toy cleaners must be used according to their labels and material-compatibility instructions. A cleaner does not make an otherwise damaged, porous, or improperly maintained product automatically safe for continued use.
Fragrances and Aromas
Fragrance products may cause sensitivity in some individuals. Use in the intended manner and avoid eyes, ingestion, or application to areas not identified by the manufacturer.
Candles and Heat
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, drafts, and unstable surfaces. Products marketed for massage or skin contact should be used only according to the manufacturer's temperature and application instructions; ordinary candles should not be assumed safe for skin application.
Topical CBD or Similar Wellness Products
Where topical cannabinoid/CBD products are offered, use them only according to the label and applicable law. Do not ingest a product labeled for topical use. Product availability may vary by jurisdiction and payment/fulfillment restrictions. Pleasure Sanctuary does not make unapproved disease-treatment claims.
Pregnancy, Medical Conditions and Medications
Customers who are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, take medications, have significant allergies, or have concerns about a product ingredient should seek appropriate professional advice when warranted before use.
Storage and Expiration
Store products according to label instructions and do not use products that are expired, materially separated or altered beyond expected characteristics, contaminated, improperly stored, or otherwise appear unsafe.
Opened Products and Hygiene
Opened topical products generally are not eligible for voluntary return for change of mind because of hygiene, contamination, and resale concerns, subject to the Returns, Refunds & Order Issues Policy and mandatory rights.
No Medical Claims
Unless expressly and lawfully stated for a specific regulated product, Pleasure Sanctuary does not represent topical products as diagnosing, treating, curing, or preventing disease.
