9. Product Safety & Intimate Hygiene Policy
Last Updated: October 4, 2026
Adults Only
Products are intended for adults age 18 or older. Keep products, packaging, batteries, accessories, and small components away from children and anyone for whom the product is not appropriate.
Read Instructions and Warnings
Before use, read the product page, packaging, manufacturer instructions, warnings, material information, charging instructions, cleaning directions, and intended-use limitations. Manufacturer instructions control where they are more product-specific.
Inspect Before Use
Inspect products before opening where possible and before each use. Do not use a product that appears cracked, torn, sharp, swollen, leaking, contaminated, electrically damaged, recalled, materially defective, or otherwise unsafe.
Hygiene
Intimate and personal-use products should be cleaned, stored, and maintained according to manufacturer instructions. Do not share products where sharing would create an unreasonable hygiene or infection risk. Use compatible cleaners and allow products to dry/store as directed.
Lubricant and Material Compatibility
Use only lubricants and accessories compatible with the product materials. Oil-based products may be incompatible with certain latex products. Some silicone lubricants may be unsuitable for certain silicone products depending on manufacturer guidance. When uncertain, follow the product/manufacturer compatibility instructions.
Safe Use
Use products only for their intended purpose and within manufacturer limits. Do not force, modify, cut, puncture, overheat, overcharge, or otherwise alter a product in a way that may create injury, electrical, chemical, fire, entrapment, or breakage risk.
Pain, Irritation or Injury
Stop use if a product causes serious pain, injury, burning, significant irritation, numbness, bleeding, allergic-type reaction, or another concerning symptom. Seek appropriate medical assistance when warranted. Do not continue using a product simply to test whether a concerning reaction will worsen.
Electrical and Battery Products
Follow charging, battery, water-resistance, storage, and temperature instructions. Do not use damaged charging cables, swollen batteries, leaking batteries, or electrical products in water unless the manufacturer specifically identifies the product as suitable for that use.
Product Cleaning and Storage
Use only cleaning methods and products appropriate for the material. Harsh chemicals, boiling, dishwashers, alcohol, bleach, or other methods may damage some products unless specifically permitted by the manufacturer. Store products clean, dry, and separated where material compatibility requires it.
Manufacturing Issues
If you believe a product has a manufacturing defect, stop using it and contact support. Manufacturing-defect claims are separate from shipping-damage claims and may be handled through applicable manufacturer/supplier procedures, warranty rights, or legally required remedies.
Hygiene and Returns
Because opened or used intimate products may be unsuitable for resale for health and hygiene reasons, voluntary returns generally are restricted as described in the Returns, Refunds & Order Issues Policy. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Misuse and Modification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pleasure Sanctuary is not responsible for harm caused by intentional misuse, use contrary to clear warnings/instructions, unauthorized modification, use of known-damaged products, or incompatible accessories where the harm results from that conduct. This does not limit liability that law does not permit us to limit.
Not Medical Advice
Product information is not a substitute for individualized medical advice. Customers with medical conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy, implanted devices, allergies, persistent pain, or other relevant concerns should seek appropriate professional guidance when needed before use.
Recalls and Safety Notices
If we become aware of a safety recall or material safety notice affecting products we sold, we may take reasonable steps consistent with available records and applicable obligations. Customers should follow manufacturer and regulatory recall instructions.
