6. Payment, Billing & Fraud Prevention Policy
Last Updated: October 4, 2026
Purpose
This Policy explains payment authorization, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, and evidence practices for Pleasure Sanctuary.
Authorization to Charge
By placing an order, the customer represents that the payment information supplied is accurate, that the customer is legally authorized to use the selected payment method, and that Pleasure Sanctuary may submit the displayed order amount and any clearly disclosed applicable taxes/shipping charges for authorization and payment.
Payment Processors
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, acquiring banks, card networks, digital-wallet providers, or other financial-service providers. Their terms, security controls, authentication procedures, and processing rules may also apply.
Do Not Send Card Credentials by Email
Never send Pleasure Sanctuary a full payment-card number, CVV/security code, PIN, payment-account password, or similar credential by ordinary email.
Discreet Billing
Pleasure Sanctuary seeks to use billing information that is reasonably discreet where operationally available. The exact statement descriptor may depend on the payment processor, acquiring bank, card network, wallet, or financial institution and may change. We therefore do not guarantee a particular descriptor until it is configured and confirmed through the applicable processor.
Fraud Prevention
We may use fraud and authentication controls made available by our providers, which may include address verification, card-security-code verification, risk scoring, transaction monitoring, manual review, additional authentication such as EMV 3-D Secure when available/appropriate, velocity controls, or other lawful measures. Not every control is necessarily used for every transaction.
Verification Holds
An order may be held, delayed, declined, or cancelled where reasonably justified by suspected unauthorized use, inconsistent identity/billing/shipping information, unusual transaction activity, failed authentication, payment failure, material fraud indicators, inability to complete reasonable verification, or security/compliance concerns.
Checkout Acceptance
Where checkout acceptance is required, the customer may be required to affirm adulthood, accuracy of information, authorization to use the selected payment method, and agreement to applicable Terms and policies. We may retain records of the acceptance event and applicable version. An entered email address or checkbox is one element of transaction evidence and is not represented as conclusive proof of card ownership.
Genuinely Unauthorized Transactions
Nothing in this Policy eliminates legitimate rights of a cardholder or account holder concerning genuinely unauthorized transactions, billing errors, or other disputes protected by applicable law or network rules.
False Unauthorized Claims and Friendly Fraud
Knowingly representing an authorized transaction as unauthorized, falsely denying participation in or benefit from a transaction, fabricating non-delivery or return facts, or otherwise making material misrepresentations to obtain money, merchandise, or duplicate reimbursement may constitute fraud or material misrepresentation. Pleasure Sanctuary may investigate and contest such claims where supported by evidence.
Evidence We May Preserve or Submit
Relevant evidence may include order ID; timestamps; email; billing/shipping information; payment authorization/authentication results; fraud-review results; checkout/Terms acceptance and version; account activity; lawful IP/device/security data; fulfillment records; tracking; delivery photographs/signatures where available; customer communications; return/refund/replacement records; and other transaction-specific evidence.
Chargebacks and Billing Disputes
Customers retain legitimate chargeback and billing-dispute rights. Pleasure Sanctuary may respond to and contest disputes it reasonably believes are inaccurate, duplicative, misleading, or fraudulent. Relevant evidence may be submitted to processors, acquirers, card networks, issuers, wallets, fraud providers, insurers, or other authorized participants.
Duplicate Recovery
A customer may not knowingly retain duplicate compensation for the same loss, such as a merchant refund plus a chargeback recovery for the same amount where this would create an improper duplicate recovery. We may document refunds, credits, replacements, and returns when responding to a dispute.
Refunds and Reversals
Approved refunds generally are returned to the original payment method when reasonably available. Posting time is controlled in part by payment processors and financial institutions. A cancelled or declined transaction may temporarily remain visible as a pending authorization until the issuer releases it.
Evidence Sharing
Where permitted by law and reasonably necessary, transaction evidence may be shared with processors, banks, card networks, fraud-prevention providers, insurers, carriers, fulfillment providers, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other authorized parties for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, legal compliance, or enforcement.
Future Orders
Where permitted by law, we may decline or restrict future transactions associated with documented fraud, material misrepresentation, unauthorized payment use, repeated abusive claims, or material policy abuse.
No Guarantee of Fraud Elimination
Fraud controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every fraudulent transaction will be detected or that every payment dispute will be resolved in our favor.
Non-Waivable Rights
Nothing in this Policy waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
